Family run hotel on the Gulf of Mexico, right on the water, 6 water front rooms are available (confirmed with your reservation), spacious rooms, air conditioning (available in some rooms – confirmed with your reservation), hot showers, 2 – 3 beds per room, private bath in each room. The hotel has approximately 20 rooms, accommodating 8 anglers’ maximum (double occupancy), single occupancy available at a higher price

Target Species:  Tarpon– you’ll have plenty of shots at singles and schools of 10 to 50 pound tarpon. In  June, July and August 50 to 150 pound tarpon can be found.

Secondary Species: Snook, Lady Fish, Sea Trout, Shark, Barracuda, Jacks, Permit (rare)

A nice snook caught in San FelipeThe Lodge (restaurant/bar):  Friendly, comfortable  bar and restaurant area over looking the Gulf, full bar, delicious authentic Mexican and American food.  3 meals per day and non alcoholic beverages are included in the advertised trip price.  Alcoholic beverages are extra.

The Boats:  Custom designed fly fishing pongas.  The pongas are docked right at the lodge.  In seconds you walk from the bar/restaurant to your boat and guide.  It is only a 10 minute boat ride from the dock to the closest tarpon fishing areas

Ground Transfer to Lodge:  Ground transfer from Cancun or Merida is not included in the trip price.  Vans can be provided by the Lodge for $600 round trip. The van will accommodate 8 anglers.  It is a 2 ½ hour car ride from the Cancun or Merida airport to the Lodge.

Price: 

2010/2011 - 7 nights, 6 days guided fishing - $ 1750 (based on double occupancy)
                     5 nights, 4 days guided fishing - $ 1250 (based on double occupancy)

Not included in the advertised price is airfare to and from Cancun or Merida, ground transfer to/from the airport and lodge, alcoholic beverages, gear and tackle, flies, gratuities.
