The Lodging:
For your Mexico fishing adventure you will be staying at Casa Viejo Chac in Ascension Bay, Mexico. Ascension Bay is located at the southern end of the Yucatan Peninsula region of Mexico. The accommodations at Casa Viejo Chac are clean, comfortable, and offer 24 hour AC. Each room has it’s own private bathroom with hot water showers and brand new full size beds. A new roof-top palapa has been added with views of the surrounding flats. The lodge is located in the tiny, quirky village of Punta Allen and is an experience in and of itself.

The food is prepared by two of the best local cooks in Punta Allen. An average day consists of fruit, juice, eggs or french toast for breakfast. The lunch coolers have sandwiches, chips, water and cokes but never the same lunch twice. Diner choices range from fresh fish to chicken fajitas and lobster when in season. Soups are one of the cooks specialties and desserts are also served nightly.

Target Species:
The Yucatan Peninsula region of Mexico is world-renowned for it’s populations of Bonefish, Permit, Tarpon and Snook, offering one of the best places in the world for a legitimate shot at the “Grand Slam”. No other location offers a better chance to fish for all 4 species in one trip. Ascension Bay is also considered one of the best options to land your first Permit on the fly. When you consider the quality of guides, the great food and the variety of fishing, Casa Viejo Chac offers an outstanding value.

Prices are usually based on 2 anglers per boat and room and include all meals, air-conditioned rooms, and all the fishing you’ll want. Not included is airfare, transportation to and from the airport, alcohol and tips. If you have a non fishing partner or a combination of people fishing and not fishing, contact us and we will do our best to put together a price to accommodate your group. We can customize nearly any package to fit your needs. To keep the experience as personal as possible, they only accommodate 8 anglers at a time.

Transportation can be arranged from the Cancun Airport.
